The former front man for A&M band PAW, Mark Hennessy has turned his talents to writing.
PAW, the 90's grunge band, has been described by novelist Andrew Vachss as "a back-country
hard-edged band with a lead singer who knows all about pain..." After writing the lyric's
to PAw's songs, Hennessy has shifted to communicating his knowledge and vast array of
experiences within his poems. Still passionate about music, Hennessy recently put on a whole
different kind of rock performance; arranging a reading of Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient
Mariner" which was sung or read by various writers to the music of "House of the Rising Sun".
Recently married, Hennessy is currently living in Raleigh, North Carolina where he teaches poetry
at North Carolina State University and is also working towards his Masters of Fine Art in Creative
Writing at the same university. Cue The Bedlam is his first collection of poetry.
