Not really... that would be boring. I'm Lauren, and I'm a 21 y/o college senior living in North Carolina. I've lived here all my life, but like to get away whenever possible. At school I'm studying English Education, and although it will probably leave me legally insane - I want to teach high school literature and creative writing one day. Oh joy, a life of poorness and endless frustration for me - har har har. Although I'm studying to be a teacher, I'd much rather be a writer or something else artsy and wonderful. When I graduate, I want to move the heck outta here and go to grad school to get my MFA in poetry. I don't really know what exactly, just something over there. I've traveled a lot in my life, mainly to Europe, and it's definitely my favorite place to be. However, while I'm still confined to the southern U.S. there is a lot here to keep me entertained. If you haven't already noticed, I like horses. A lot. In fact, I own one and he's super cute. His name is Elvis and he's an 1993 y/o Quarter Horse. I ride about three or four times a week, mainly for fun but I also show Elvis in hunters, fox hunt, and show on my college equestrian team. It's a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. I love my pony :) To pay for the super cute hay burner, I tutor kids in English and History. It's great fun... yeah. When I was little I used to skate competitively, and could spin and jump and all that junk. I taught skating lessons for five years, but quit in January of 2005 because I just got too sick of the whole figure skating scene. I also toodle on the web and make pages for people. Yeah yeah, fun times. So I like horses and I like art. I love watching movies (especially Python... I'm a huge fan and when I say huge I mean borderline obsessive). Besides the horse, I have a dog and a cat - Mocha and Monty. Music wise I like pretty much everything, but especially Jimmy Buffett, Rufus Wainwright, and punk - Taking Back Sunday, Saves the Day, Blink 182, and New Found Glory.
